The Kainene freelancer platform allows fashion illustrators or designers to easily monetize their skill. Instead of posting your designs on Social networks where people use them without even as much as attributing the design to you, you can earn money each time anyone uses your design.
There are three ways illustrators earn money on Kainene. When you submit your design to Kainene, you will earn money when a user downloads your design, buys off your design, or orders a dress to be made by one of our partner tailors based on your design.
When a user, who is subscribed downloads your design, you will get N400 or about $1 for each download. Note that each design can be downloaded as many times as possible by different users. Let’s say one of your designs is downloaded 1,000 times; you would earn N400,000 from a single design.
When a user buys off your design, you will earn 60% of that price. So, if you set the buy off price to be N20,000, you will earn N12,000 or about $20. You are the one who sets the buy off price for your designs. We recommend you price your designs appropriately.
You will earn 20% of the price set by admin for making this dress. The Tailor who makes the dress will use 70% to buy the materials and make the dress while Kainene retains 10%.
Simply navigate to your dashboard and click Earnings log. There you will see all your earnings and the activities that produced each earning, when the activity happened and even the country the earning came from. You can even export the records to an excel sheet.
Yes, we have courses that teach you everything you need to know about fashion illustration. You also get a certificate of completion. At the end of your training; if you become good at fashion illustration, you can monetize your skill immediately on Kainene. Check the home page for the courses.
Yes, you can. We are able to wire your earnings to you wherever you are in the world. If you have a PayPal account that can receive funds, we can pay to the account. Just provide the details in the Add Bank section of your profile.
Yes, we have set a minimum withdraw-able amount to N5,000. This is about $10. If you are outside Nigeria, we recommend that you allow your earnings to get to $100 or its equivalent before requesting for withdrawal as there are charges for international transfers.
Yes, every freelancer has a unique shareable link to his or her profile page on Kainene. You will find this in your profile. Copy the link and place it on your bio and ask your followers to click it to access your designs.
If you are in Nigeria, your funds will get to you almost immediately or within a few hours. If you are outside Nigeria and have provided a PayPal account; your funds will get to you almost immediately or within a few minutes. For international wire transfers; 7 days.
